A few months ago I had the honor of attending a tasting of Horse Soldier Bourbon at Roger Wilco in Pennsauken NJ as a member of the Wilco Whiskey club. The story behind the creation of Horse Soldier Bourbon was presented by non-other than Retired and Special Forces Veteran Chief Warrant Officer Bob Pennington, a thirty-year U.S. Army Special Forces Veteran. Bob served with the "horse soldiers", the first team to land in Afghanistan in response to the attacks of 9/11. This story was brought to life in the Hollywood film, 12 Strong.
A month later, I also had the honor to have been selected by a beverage group I promote for, to serve up Horse Solider Bourbon samples at the Fine Wine and Good Spirits store in Newtown PA to visitors joining for the tasting and bottle signing with Chief Warrant Officer Bob Pennington. Over 30 bottles of Horse Soldier Bourbon were sold and signed that night!
